I used Beloved Companions for both at-home euthanasia with one of their veterinarian partners and private pet cremation services. Dr. Eva was extremely easy to work with. We scheduled a home vet visit in West Hartford to put down my dog over the phone, she was extremely kind and mindful of our needs while my dog died, explained everything clearly, and asked for consent during different phases of the process. Dave and Peaches were also very kind and helpful in coordinating my dog's remains. The staff they sent to my apartment were kind and thoughtful, and we received my dog's cremated ashes in a small brass and wooden box (as well as a clay pay print and certificate of private cremation) from their Avon location the next day. Note that you *will* have to speak with both Beloved Companions and one of their at home vets separately if you want both services, but the day-of everything is coordinated seamlessly. I would absolutely recommend Beloved Companions for both mobile in-home pet euthanasia and for local pet cremation. The cost was higher than at the standard vet, but being able to have an amazing final memory and knowing I received my dog's ashes (not the ashes from a communal cremation) helped us tremendously.

Eight years ago David handled the cremation of our beloved 15 year old yellow lab/ golden retriever cross. It was an extremely difficult time for us, but David made it easier. Our dog’s ashes were put in a beautiful wooden display box that stays in our living room. Last week out 18 year old cat was cremated by Beloved Companions and Peaches took great care of us with this difficult time. Beloved Companions treats our precious pets with the care and respect they deserve. They also show amazing compassion to us during a very difficult time.Our cat is now in a beautiful wooden box next to our dog’s ashes box. My dog was my beloved companion for 17 wonderful years so I wanted to make sure his ending was as graceful and pain free as I could possibly give him. I did my homework beforehand especially on cremation places and also on where I wanted my dog to be euthanized if it came to that. Beloved Companions in Avon CT had great reviews, and my phone calls to them to discuss plans for my dogs final day when it came was met with caring, patience, and understanding and I didn’t want to deal with anyone else but Beloved Companions. I did at home euthanasia, pickup, and cremation for my little guy, and I am so glad to report that all went smoothly without any glitches whatsoever, allowing me to focus on my beloved companion and saying goodbye, completely free of added anxiety during such a sad and difficult time. Can not express how compassionate and caring beloved companions is used their service for the first time 10 years ago and again in 2022 the staff is not all about business but about you and your feelings. I can't put into words how wonderful this place is. I unexpectedly lost my Zoey at home and called and spoke with Peaches, and through my tears she was so empathetic and kind, answered all of my questions and explained the process to me and set up my appointment with Justin who I met with the next day, he was also so empathetic and kind. I didnt feel rushed or pushed, and was allowed to have a moment with Zoey before i left. I felt like my pain was understood, which meant alot to me. I cant express how much I appreciated the kindness from these people. They made this process of cremating my pet seamless and it was quick, I had her back with me in 2 days. Theyre prices in my opinion are resonable too. I will use this place again for my other pets and will recommend to anyone looking for this kind of service.

On 12.26.24 we lost our beloved Princess and although it was a very difficult day for me and my family upon calling beloved companions they made the process smooth while we grieved the loss of our fur baby. Thank you so much for everything and for explaining the process as this was our very first time loosing a fur baby. The compassion that they have and extend is beyond appreciated during the most difficult time and process.

They were so kind & comforting to us. So patient with us with our many questions that we had. I strongly recommend them. It was such a long day. First we went to our local vet & got bad news. Then we went to an animal hospital that had an emergency room to see if they could operate on the tumor in his mouth. Unfortunately, he couldn't be saved. So we took him out for an hour to spoil him with things to eat that he'd really enjoy then brought him back so they could peacefully cross the rainbow bridge. They waited for us to drive the hour to them. She even gave us a little time to say more goodbyes. We appreciate it more than you could possibly know.

I just got home from picking up my buddy Copper. I waited to open the bag because I knew my heart would sink. I opened the bag and what a wonderful surprise. I can't tell you how pleased I am. The foot print is just how I remembered his, the fur clippings are of every color the poem and certificate and the box that contained his remains are above and beyond what I had imagined. I cannot say how wonderful it was to have this agency assist our family. My parent’s beloved dog Patches passed away at home and being a larger dog I was unable to get her to the vet. My parents were unable due to their own physical limitations. I called and Peaches was wonderful on the phone and explained all the options to me in such a kind manner. Beloved Companions are a responsive, compassionate and reasonable pet funeral and aftercare service that help people manage THE HARDEST aspect of being a pet lover! My first experience with them was recent and it was phenomenal. As sad as it sounds, I'm much reassured having found them, knowing I've got a plan for my pets in the future. My sweet little Morkie passed quietly at home in my arms after valiantly fighting kidney disease. After a moment of gratitude for his peaceful crossing(at home! In my arms!) I realized I had no idea what to do next; he died the night before scheduled in-home euthanasia appointment with Lap of Love. They were going to take care of everything, and I had no idea what to do with his body, and it was already 11pm on a Tuesday! Lucky for us, Lap of Love returned my call and walked me through handling Lucky's little body until the next day****PLEASE also see my 5 star review of Lap of Love!!!***) The next morning, I called my vet about cremation. The receptionist told me bring Lucky in, they could hold him until 'weekly cremation pickup' . I would need to call the office on arrival so 'they could meet me at the back door'. While I absolutely LOVE Lucky's team of vets, I was disgusted with this idea. Also she didn't even offer condolences! (I won't name the practice because the doctors are outstanding!) I said no thanks and looked up pet cremation services on Google. My first and only call was to Beloved Pets. Dave arranged to pick little Lucky up within the hour. He arrived on time and showed nothing less than true compassion, empathy and professionalism. I am so grateful that I did not have to bring Lucky anywhere, and that pickup was so quick. Dave carried Lucky to his van, gently and lovingly as I would have myself. I had a really hard time letting Dave and Lucky actually leave, and he was SO patient and kind, and gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye. I spent at least 15 minutes halfway in in the rear end of Dave's van, saying goodbye to my sweetest little boy. Dave had a schedule to keep and my neighbors were being nosy, but I didn't care and neither did Dave and I believe that Dave is the person who instinctually understands that grief is as complex and varied as we are, and he clearly honored mine. As far as the other variables, I found Dave's prices were very reasonable, competitive to industry standards. He's very responsive, by phone and text(which was a plus for me!) Lucky was ready to come home well before a week went by. I still haven't picked him up, partly because I'm far from the business, but probably also due to fear or some other psychological gremlin. Not once has Dave pressured me to pick up Lucky's urn. Matter of fact, I bet if I asked, Dave would probably drop by with Lucky next time he's in my area. He's THAT kind of guy! Thank you so much Dave, for bringing Lucky on his final car ride🐾♥️🐾

My little dog was only twelve pounds but he touched so many .He went and visited the people in a convalescent home every week and made everyone smile He loved his snowsuit which always made is laugh.
