I would like to thank "Beloved Companions" for the way they handled the cremation and return of our boy Jackson after his passing. A few things really set them apart. First and most important is compasion: they handled a sensitive and emotional situation with respect and concern. Secondly the Urn is beautiful and a reflection of Jackson. Finally the home delivery made things easier. In the past I had to stand in line at the Vet with tears filling my eyes, to pick up my pets remains. Finding people to help you through this difficult transition is a blessing. Kindness, compassion, solidarity and company with respect is what I found in this cremation service for my sweet girl Coco. Thank you for being there for me and for patiently answering all my questions. It was hard to leave my Coco, but the sweet woman made me feel like she was in the right place. A few days later when I picked up her ashes I couldn't hold back my tears again but in the midst of my pain I felt peace thanks to Dave. I am very grateful to God for the staff who helped me. Upon the loss of my cat, I met with Peaches Miller at Beloved Companions and she could not have been more kind, helpful or professional. Everything was handled in a very dignified manner and I received my cat’s ashes in a beautiful, wooden box within just a couple of days. I also received a paw print as a remembrance.

Eight years ago David handled the cremation of our beloved 15 year old yellow lab/ golden retriever cross. It was an extremely difficult time for us, but David made it easier. Our dog’s ashes were put in a beautiful wooden display box that stays in our living room. Last week out 18 year old cat was cremated by Beloved Companions and Peaches took great care of us with this difficult time. Beloved Companions treats our precious pets with the care and respect they deserve. They also show amazing compassion to us during a very difficult time.Our cat is now in a beautiful wooden box next to our dog’s ashes box. Thank you Beloved Companions for providing this needed service in the most professional manner possible.

My little dog was only twelve pounds but he touched so many .He went and visited the people in a convalescent home every week and made everyone smile He loved his snowsuit which always made is laugh. I've sat in front of the keyboard trying to figure out the best way to convey that Beloved Companions and Pawz at Peace helped turn a horribly sad time in our lives into the most comfortable one possible. My wife and I have been devastated for the two years following our little dog's diagnosis with Congestive Heart Failure. For two years, he fought hard and enjoyed his life the best he possibly could. He was an amazing part of our lives and brought so much joy. However, when it was time, it was very obviously... time. (For that, I'm thankful. He had such a strong spirit that... when the time came that he couldn't fight any longer, it was very plain to see.) Completely heartbroken, my wife had heard of Beloved Companions and Pawz at Peace. We called, and Peaches was very kind and considerate. She helped us make our appointment on the same day of the call and being able have things done at our home felt right. It's not just our home; it's his home, and he wouldn't want to say goodbye anywhere else. We were able to assist our dog in his passing outside in our backyard. Dr. Shannon came, and I don't know that we've ever met somebody who was more capable of handling such a loaded and difficult situation. There is basically a powder keg of emotions involved with all of this, and Dr. Shannon navigated that path with such kindness and grace and helped us say goodbye with dignity and respect. Our little guy was not in any pain during the process, and we're confident that he's at home in heaven with Jesus. My wife and I were very emotional, and Dr. Shannon was loving and patient and showed such care. So did Vince, her assistant. We are very thankful for the gentleness and kindness your company offers. Dave was very kind and helpful. My pup was only 9 weeks old I believe she sucommed to complications of a seizure.

I can not say enough good things about this service. What a wonderful caring group. From the vet , vet tech., the gentleman who picked him up, and of course the caring woman who put it all together for us. Sox is no longer in pain or being medicated twice daily. I just got home from picking up my buddy Copper. I waited to open the bag because I knew my heart would sink. I opened the bag and what a wonderful surprise. I can't tell you how pleased I am. The foot print is just how I remembered his, the fur clippings are of every color the poem and certificate and the box that contained his remains are above and beyond what I had imagined. I used Beloved Companions for both at-home euthanasia with one of their veterinarian partners and private pet cremation services. Dr. Eva was extremely easy to work with. We scheduled a home vet visit in West Hartford to put down my dog over the phone, she was extremely kind and mindful of our needs while my dog died, explained everything clearly, and asked for consent during different phases of the process. Dave and Peaches were also very kind and helpful in coordinating my dog's remains. The staff they sent to my apartment were kind and thoughtful, and we received my dog's cremated ashes in a small brass and wooden box (as well as a clay pay print and certificate of private cremation) from their Avon location the next day. Note that you *will* have to speak with both Beloved Companions and one of their at home vets separately if you want both services, but the day-of everything is coordinated seamlessly. I would absolutely recommend Beloved Companions for both mobile in-home pet euthanasia and for local pet cremation. The cost was higher than at the standard vet, but being able to have an amazing final memory and knowing I received my dog's ashes (not the ashes from a communal cremation) helped us tremendously.

Lost our beloved cat of 19 yrs. The staff was compassionate and caring as we dealt with the process of losing our pet. And we're willing to meet us on our terms and hours related to his passing. Not only do they offer after hour services but even offered to pickup at home. Though we met them at their offices behind Battistones. Hope you never need their services. But, if you find yourself in this position. Don't hesitate to reach out to these caring folks!!

On 12.26.24 we lost our beloved Princess and although it was a very difficult day for me and my family upon calling beloved companions they made the process smooth while we grieved the loss of our fur baby. Thank you so much for everything and for explaining the process as this was our very first time loosing a fur baby. The compassion that they have and extend is beyond appreciated during the most difficult time and process.

I cannot say how wonderful it was to have this agency assist our family. My parent’s beloved dog Patches passed away at home and being a larger dog I was unable to get her to the vet. My parents were unable due to their own physical limitations. I called and Peaches was wonderful on the phone and explained all the options to me in such a kind manner. Dave, who came to the home for Patches, could not have been more compassionate and supportive. He gave us as much time as we needed to say our final goodbye to Patches and was so patient and respectful with her. Thank you for your kindness during a heartbreaking time for us. First we spoke with Peaches in Avon which started off the great support service of this caring place. We brought our little Julie to New Britain and Justin went over and above along with other very caring gentlemen. I returned home after midnight early Tuesday morning to find that my AmStaff had died while I was out. I was devastated and did not know what to do. I did not know who to call. I googled and found Beloved Companions. Someone answered the call at 1 am. They learned about my needs. I finished that call and within 5 minutes Peaches called me back. She listened to me through my uncontrolled tears to learn what I needed and had affordable options. She talked me through their packages, walked me through how to order the package online, and told me what time her team would be able to pick up my boy. I was even able to break up the payments into four installments. They arrived when they said they would, at 10 am, and were so endearing, kind, and compassionate. It was very difficult for me to see Capone passed away and they handled him with such care it was comforting. They gave me a chance to say goodbye and I believed that his remains were in good hands. Everyone I interacted with from the initial call through the pick up expressed such empathy and compassion it normalized the grief I felt trying to process the fact that my life buddy had died. Thank you so much for existing, Beloved Companions. You made an already devastating event tolerable because of your care.

I was hours from reaching our new home in town when my sweet princess of 13.5 years passed peacefully in my car. Not knowing where to go I reached out to a local community on social media who unanimously recommended Beloved Companions for her after care. Very distraught and upset with how this new chapter was beginning, everyone in this company was very compassionate, kind, understanding and reasonable. I did not have to wait long for her to be returned to me and I am pleased with the work they performed. Thank you again for honoring my beloved companion

They were so kind & comforting to us. So patient with us with our many questions that we had. I strongly recommend them. It was such a long day. First we went to our local vet & got bad news. Then we went to an animal hospital that had an emergency room to see if they could operate on the tumor in his mouth. Unfortunately, he couldn't be saved. So we took him out for an hour to spoil him with things to eat that he'd really enjoy then brought him back so they could peacefully cross the rainbow bridge. They waited for us to drive the hour to them. She even gave us a little time to say more goodbyes. We appreciate it more than you could possibly know.
